Our silent caravan advances onward, swaying to the slow, hypnotic rhythm of the camels. The sun-warmed saddles release a soft, refined leather aroma as we near Al Khaluf. The scenery turns nearly lunar — the sand shifting into a dazzling white — and atop these sugar-like dunes we feel wonderfully small. Sugar Leather evokes supple leather dusted with pale sand and caramelized under the sun: a decadent, bold, and spicy fragrance.
